So we are Sane Seven! But what do we do when we don’t work on commercial projects? We obviously work on non commercial projects:). We’ve been super busy recently working on some really exciting projects, so we decided to get some rest and take a day off with our friends creatives Callam Warrington and Grace Woods. The result – improvised fashion photo shoot.

The aim for the collaboration was to create a set of beautiful images that showcased the creative flair of all involved. We were lucky enough to have Grace Woods on set; Grace is a co-owner and resident make-up artist at the Make-up Artist Studio in Liverpool. It’s impossible to describe what Grace can do when her talent is unleashed. You’ll just have to see it for yourself.

It was also true privilege to work with Callam. In addition to being an absolutely lovely guy, (who also happens to make the most delicious ham sandwiches – thank you Callam) Callam is a hairdressing guru who was a major figure at Vidal Sassoon from 1991-2006, being appointed as creative director in Leeds, South Molten Street and then the Advanced Academy. He has been a signature stylist at countless fashion weeks working on collections by designers such as Jil Sander and Hermes to name a few, and when you think his CV couldn’t get any more impressive… his incredible talent has made him a celebrity favourite working with the likes of Mischa Barton, Amy Winehouse and Thandie Newton.

We were working with a collection of Phillip Armstrong dresses that were exclusively designed for “The Very Big Catwalk”; the dresses are decadent pieces that ooze luxury. The pattern and shape is reminiscent of the Georgian era but with the Phillip Armstrong revitalised flair…which so happened to fit our location perfectly. The vibe for the shoot was “end of the world chic” so having the mixture of Graces’ make-up skills, Callam’s hair genius, the Phillip Armstrong dresses and the location was a killer combination.

To top it all off we had a beautiful model to bring our vision to life, Ivy from Nemesis Models Manchester. She was a complete natural, whose presence on set was uplifting. She had a smile of her face throughout the day, even when she was shivering – a true professional.

We had four looks to shoot in a short time frame but the team worked well together to ensure a completely smooth day. We are so proud of the final images, and this is why we love our job.
